Why waterproofing terminations deserve a separate review
Review terminations and intersections before approving a waterproofing system. A straight section may be correctly selected while the end connection remains undefined.

Selection considerations
Mark where the system meets walls, upstands, doors or a different membrane. Identify internal and external corners and any crossing movement joints. These locations need a compatible connection, not simply a neat cut through the straight material.
Request detail drawings and a component list for each transition. Plan inspection before finishes conceal the interface. In refurbishment, check whether the existing system can be prepared and bonded to as proposed. Keep unresolved terminations visible in the procurement schedule so they are not mistaken for included accessories.
Before you specify or order
- List every change of plane
- Obtain compatible termination details
- Inspect interfaces before concealment

Common question
Should transition pieces be ordered later?
Preferably not. Defining them with the main system avoids incomplete assemblies and site improvisation.
