Crash rails: match protection height to trolley impact
Select a crash rail around the equipment that actually contacts the wall. Rail width and projection matter, but a correctly sized rail installed above or below the impact zone can still leave the finish exposed.

Selection considerations
Observe loaded trolleys, beds, cleaning machines and service carts at corners and door approaches. Note the contact height and the parts that protrude furthest. Different departments may need different rail arrangements even where the corridor appearance is identical.
The BULDX range includes sections with different widths and wall projections. Compare these as separate measurements, then check backing and replacement-cover arrangements. Review attachment positions against the partition reinforcement. Catalogue descriptions are a starting point for selection; they do not establish the impact capacity of a complete wall assembly.
Before you specify or order
- Survey actual equipment contact
- Compare projection separately from width
- Coordinate backing with the partition contractor

Common question
Does a wider rail always protect better?
Only if its position and attachment suit the impact zone. Width alone cannot establish the performance of the installed system.
