Composite decking: compare hollow, solid and click-lock sections
Compare composite decking by its complete section and connection method. A solid section, a channelled section and a click-lock profile are not interchangeable simply because their surface finish looks similar.

Selection considerations
Record width, depth and the intended support arrangement. Check which clips or connectors belong to each board and whether edges need a separate finishing component. A front-face image does not reveal all these differences.
Ask for the selected board's span, movement and installation instructions rather than using a generic spacing rule. Confirm exposure and finish with an approved sample. Keep the full BULDX code on the deck layout so similar boards do not become mixed during procurement or repairs.
Before you specify or order
- Compare the actual cross-section
- Confirm compatible connectors
- Obtain board-specific installation instructions

Common question
Does a solid board automatically span further?
No. Span suitability requires documented data for the particular section and supporting arrangement.
